300 million downloads! I don't buy it. Here's a bit of the Dec 2007 OOo press release...

OpenOffice.org is the leading open-source office suite: word processor, spreadsheet, presentation tool, drawing package, mathematical formulae editor and database. It has been downloaded over 100 million times and has excellent compatibility with Microsoft Office, so it can easily read and write Excel, Word and PowerPoint files. (source)

Have there been 200 million in the past 3 months? I daresay, Martin, if the project is confident of its understanding of its userbase, these communications would not hesitate to extol larger numbers.
