Try as he might -- bending into every shape of uncomfortable contortion -- Microsoft's open source messenger, Jason Matusow, explains what happened to Microsoft's memo in Sweden which promised compensation to its partners for attending the OOXML standards meetings and voting in favor of OOXML.
Jason says the memo was retracted. That's all well and good if you ask me: we can take Jason at face about that MEMO.
However, what remains to be illuminated is whether Microsoft has compensated or will do its partners in any country -- including Sweden. You can bet there is compensation and it's very easy to mask within the vig back for "marketing programs".
Cry Foul, ISO!
