I'm on a time-warp back to 1989; got to get vinyl copies of Paul's Boutique (Beastie Boys) and Three Feet High & Rising (De la Soul).

Wearing out the Paul's Boutique tracks on my iTunes. This is a masterwork collage of 1970's soul samples -- a little nostalgia when everything was changing very fast.

Here's a brilliant video for a BB's later "Root Down" (1995) track. Great bass line (where's it copped from?). So New York...
