How's this for a Christmas present, Microsoft is End-of-Life-ing Internet Explorer for Mac? This would have to be another indication that Microsoft has lost the Browser Wars; or, it reflects a give-up to encourage Apple to support the Ecma TC. Hmmm.
"...as of January 31st, 2006, Internet Explorer for the Mac will no longer be available for download from Mactopia. It is recommended that Macintosh users migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple's Safari."
This is rich: Microsoft is recommending the better browser. Must be the doings of the only sane man on board the Redmond Behemoth, The Wizard of Ray! Or this is a part of an old and complex arrangement between Microsoft & Apple and, under such circumstances, has no relevance at all to the health of your 401K Plan.
They've frozen on IE5 and seem to still want everyone to use it...

Here, it is revealed that Microsoft considers users to be brain-dead (and would want to use an EOL'd piece of software...that sucks to begin with).
